In order to standardize and guide the registration and filing of cosmetics, the State Drug Administration has formulated and issued the "Regulations on the Management of Registration and Filing Materials for New Cosmetics Ingredients". The year 2022 can be regarded as the year of raw materials in the cosmetics industry. According to the filing information on the official website of the National Drug Administration, a total of 42 new raw materials were filed in 2022, compared to only 6 in 2021. In the 10 years from 2009 to 2019, only 4 new cosmetics raw materials were approved in China, and the approval speed of new cosmetics raw materials significantly accelerated. The raw material innovation field, which was originally monopolized by international beauty giants, has begun to attract more enterprises, and new raw materials have become a major springboard for enterprises to break the situation. More and more enterprises are beginning to realize the importance of raw material innovation and have increased their investment in raw material research and development.
Wherein, 1) N-acetylneuraminic acid (commonly known as bird's nest acid) and β- Both raw materials, nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN), have been registered and filed by multiple enterprises; 2) The number of times skin protectants, humectants, and antioxidants appear is 20/18/10, respectively, and their corresponding effects are barrier repair, moisturizing, and anti wrinkle. Domestic brands are the only way to strengthen research and development, attach importance to product quality, or break the ice for new and cutting-edge brands. However, foreign brands have already taken the lead in the marketing of traditional popular raw materials such as nicotinamide, bifid yeast, and bosein. If domestic brands want to break through, they need to rely on new raw materials.
